Just got seated at my church

I figure an hour out of my year isn’t too much to ask for

Happy wife, happy life. Just go along with it. It's only an hour.

No.
1. My family agree it is disingenuous to pretend to be religious when we never go to church any other time of the year.
2. I am not a pussy.

Same. I've been asked three times if I'm going to church tonight.

I refuse to let them make me feel guilty.

No. I've been lying to my family about my faith for years. Haven't believed in god in over a decade.

It's a lot easier to pretend than to make a big deal out of it a disappoint people for something I deem as a pointless reason.

I am going solely for my mother. I was raised in a very catholic home so I am pretty much burnt out on Catholicism. I go Easter and Christmas to keep her happy.

She tried to get me to go twice this weekend but there is no fricking way I am doing that.

My stupid Grandma is always trying to get me to go but I just quote some Hitchens and Nietzsche at her to shut her old arse up.

Old people are so dumb for believing in that shite.

I was. My parents decided to leave 15 minutes before the service. When we get in, only the standing room was available, so we go home.

I go but I do not get communion. I am not a practicing Catholic any longer but I do consider myself a Christian. I really appreciate where I go when I am home because I honestly get nothing from Catholic mass.

Thankful the Saints game was today. Was able to skip mass.

But I usually will attend on Christmas Eve so my grandmother is happy. She loves her some family time in church.
