Same break. I fractured the radial trying to dunk during pregame warm up. Some freshman cut my legs from under me while he was chasing a rebound. Hell of a way to end my senior year

Fractured both at separate times, one required surgery. Quite a while until I got full motion back.

1980 had a wreck, not wearing a seat belt. put my arm across in front of my face apparently, and broke the steering wheel with my forearm when i hit the telephone pole.
dislocated my radius and shattered the radial head. reduced it several times (valium and a boat paddle-like maneuver) and ended up having surgery to pin through the humerus. when the pins came out, my elbow was blocked. went to Dr. james anderson to free it up twice. tried all sorts of braces to force extension. ended up clipping or tearing a nerve the last time and had no finger extension for 6 weeks.
lost a little hand pronation and supination, but not noticeable. ultimately lost 15 degrees of extension, so i cannot fully straighten my arm. the biggest problem is i can't ride a bike unless it has the old handlebars that allow you to sit upright. i can't lock my elbow straight, so leaning over the bars is pure muscle.
the only other significant result is that my arm doesn't hang fully straight, and i notice it in photos. no one else notices.

Fractured the pointy part in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Slipped on wet marble while carrying dive gear. The hotel staff sent me to a tiny clinic that the doctor had to be called in to do the X-ray. The lady helping didn’t wear gloves and there was a nice cut on the end. They put my arm flat onto the film cartridge. Dx as fractured but I still went diving for 2-3 more days and ended up with an infected wound. Surprise. Flew home and called an ortho from IAH and ended up in a sling for several weekS and on antibiotics. No surgery. Needed therapy to restore range of motion.

fractured mine at the olecrenon process. Had to have surgery. Sucked bad

Yes, the type of fracture I had requiered surgery, two screws to place the bone back in place. Also, had to have second surgery to remove the screws because I wasnt healing right around the screws. Cast after first surgery. This was last year and I still do not have full range of motion. Probably never will.

Broke my elbow in half when I was younger. Had it in a cast for six weeks... it did not heal particularly well; when I stick my arms straight out, my left elbow is on top instead of on bottom

Messed mine up pretty good in a car accident when I was 20. Fractured and dislocated. But I also had a clean break of my ulna just below the elbow joint.
I had surgery and they put some screws in. I was in a cast for 6 months. The angle they casted it up was about a 45 degree angle so after they finally took it off it took probably 3 more months for me to get full range of motion with no pain. About 18 months later, I requested the screws to be removed because I would hit them just about every time I bumped into something with that arm and it would send searing pain throughout my entire torso. One of those pains where you have no control over whether or not you tear up
.
So yeah, that was a fun time. Good luck.
