I'll give you lakeview. But the sliver us plenty safe and above sea level.

I was making a joke about NOLA criminals being unable to swim.

I know that plenty of the nicer areas of the city are built on higher ground. The Warehouse District is maybe the safest area in the city and I don't think that it even flooded too badly during Katrina.

Hope you are not PARKED on the high ground. You gonna get a ticket.

My boy Marc Morial used to live for going on TV to give everyone "permission" to park on da neutral grounds during heavy rain events.

Again, the WHD doesn't really flood, and looking at the radar, I think the rain will be almost entirely past NOLA very soon. This is obviously a very strong storm, but there isn't much more left.

Anyone have an update on the lower end of the quarter and the Esplanade area? I need to get down that way in about 30 minutes.
Trying to figure out if I can get on interstate and get off in either at quarter exit or Esplanade.

Canal and Rampart is getting water, and that's one of the higher areas of the city. Maybe White Linen night doesn't happen.

It just occurred to me: how long is this going to set back the Bourbon St. construction?

With any luck, they have to redo some cement and Landrieu can skim some more money.

Yeah, so much water has come down that I don't know if anything will really happen tonight.

I know that our street in River Ridge has the worst flooding I've ever seen.

I feel bad for my neighbors; I think they probably got flooded again for the 3rd time in like a year and a half.

Really? Where in river Ridge is there a house that has flooded 3 times this year? Did they purposely dig their house and build it down?
