Harahan got hit hard in the may flood of 95'. A day similar to this but that was mostly north of Jefferson highway

Carrollton at 10 is a fricking lake. Cars are straight up stuck.

Anyone know how Republic NOLA is looking?

And THAT my friend, sums up why New Orleans has a 'soul' that you don't find other canned places
Again, I've lost faith in the city and will never buy in NOLA parish, but it does help keep me in SELA. I get to live at my Gamgam's former home in Jefferson (no I don't call that living) for free until she dies, but I still see myself renting in the WHD for one more year, even if I'm in my early 40's when it happens.

That train track underpass there and on Canal by Delgado are probably 8' deep

Not surprising the trash coming in from Chalmette has caused a backup

Old Metairie just a couple of blocks from 17th St. Canal hardly has puddles but got the same heavy rain as NOLA. Is it that much higher?

Old Metarie and parts of midcity are drained by the same pumps. Some parts of mid city arent.
This is the type of unresearched sensationalist reporting that belongs on facebook.

Just drove from metairie to lake view took almost an hour. Vets to FDL to Harrison to West End to RE Lee. Water was unreal

I don't see why WLN won't would not stay the course. I drove through this shitty weather to get to Steins and this area and on the other side of i-10 by the CAC were high and dry

What's the rumblings about a drainage canal breach on Peoples ave?

Did they purposely dig their house and build it down?
No. The house is probably 40+ years old, was never raised that high, and has to deal with the levee.
Also, the drainage on our street was never updated/upgraded from the late 60s-early 70s. So the water backs up pretty fast.
