You could put all those nfl and nba players on te field and just me and they wouldn't be able to take the ball away. That's how bad they would be.

even if the manchester united coach, ted lasso, was the coach? doubtful.

i take it you don't watch the NBA, where wade just got fined 5k for flopping, or football, where teams regularly slow down fast offenses by collapsing w/ "injuries"?

Yes, like you said they are fined for doing such things whereas, in soccer, it's a part of the game. Look at the ref gif for Christ's sake.

Funny all these LSU fans saying soccer is boring, but you cream yourself over unathleic rednecks playing baseball which is the most boring "sport" ever made.

I love the soccer/baseball analogy. I don't care if you hate baseball. Why do you care if I hate soccer? Soccer IS boring. It's incredibly boring.

I don't really care for any non contact sport. Combat sports are my favorite. I also would rather participate in sport, even though I am an old man, instead of watch it. I rarely watch sports on television anymore.

Well good thing soccer is a collision sport

It's really not. The synchronization that takes place between the players and the precision in which they do it is truly impressive. The dynamics the great players are able to induce on the soccer ball is almost unbelievable.

The simple fact that they play two halves without a single break in action is a testament to their conditioning.

I'll tell you why I don't like soccer:

Good thing a once in a generation player like Lebron flops around and acts like a bitch more than soccer players

i think there is a disconnect because an uninformed viewer doesn't actually realize the ridiculous talent it takes to play a ball 30 yards through the air and hit your teammate, who is at a complete sprint, right in the foot. some of these players make it look too easy.

The control is what blows me away. They will control a 30 yard pass like it's nothing.

to be a true athlete, you must both have athleticism and coordination. The coordination in baseball is probably the most apparent in any of the big sports.

Therefore baseball players translate well to just about any sport.

I bet most soccer players would look like 50 Cent throwing a baseball. And we wont even get started on swinging a bat.

lol you need to be coordinated to play soccer

if not you would trip over yourself running let alone fail trying to dribble the ball

haha, no doubt. i think Joe Hart, the keeper for the england national team and manchester city, threw out a first pitch at a dodger's game a few years back. it was bad, but not 50 cent bad.

here he is in the batting cage.

you're right. The soccer fans shouldn't have started a thread telling everyone soccer isn't boring.

...wait.

I played soccer for 13 seasons. That being said, I can't stand watching it bc it's boring as hell.

The sport which needs more attention is hockey. I highly recommend watching the Stanley Cup games. They're so exiting and suspenseful. Best sport outside of college FB, imo.

this is how i am with baseball. you'd have to tie me down to watch it and even then i'd end up sleeping.
