There are some casinos there. The original Doe's Eat Place is there (in a very bad neighborhood). Don't stay downtown, it is dangerous. The Hampton Inn is probably the best Hotel in town.

It’s been a few years since I was last there, but there was a cool little self guided aviation museum upstairs at the airport. Could easily kill an hour or two there.

I’m from indianola, about a 30 minute drive east. I haven’t been to Greenville in a couple of years, but the remaining friends I have down there say it’s gotten pretty rough. I’d double down on staying in Cleveland at the new hotel, as there’s way more to do there, albeit still not much. Does is overrated to me. If I had to pick only 1 place to eat I’d go to lillo’s in Leland. Nola in indianola used to be awesome when chuck had it, I assume it’s still good. Most museums have been mentioned, but I’ll add to ms outdoor museum in Leland if you’re an outdoorsy baw. An awesome hole in the wall lunch stop is fratesis grocery, also in Leland. If you know anyone there with a boat lake Washington is producing some crappie, or at least it was until all this rain hit. Apart from that, we used to crack a brew and ride gravel roads and pontificate.

My app is in and all up to date at pretty much everywhere except UPS. Hoping to hear something soon.

I’m about to start at the C-130J school house, which is going to force me to change my availability date before long.

Don't know if it's the same, but had one at Margaritaville in Biloxi, and I thought it was overrated. I didn't find it that great.

The one in Margaritaville is trash compared to the original.

Actually, the Margaritaville one tastes like they cooked the food in Greenville at 8 a.m., brought it down to Biloxi, and threw it all in the microwave before serving at 8 p.m.

Eta: I second the guy above that said Lillo’s. Inject that riggatoni parmesan with the red sauce in my veins.

I live one hour from there and I can assure you that Greenville, MS is one of the worst places on the entire planet!!! Sad does not begin to describe this place and Doe's is the biggest ripoff there is. Do not go there (Greenville) under any circumstance.

That place is dying. If Sherman's is still there and it was a nice restaurant ran by good people. That's all I got other than the Doe's eat place tamales. Steak is decent, it is a unique experience.

Look's like Sherman's was closed because of fire, and the Doe's eat place two which was basically a takeout isn't there anymore.

shite just avoid it all together. I was there in 94, and the place had like 40k people. it has like 20k now. That should tell you all you need to know.

Cleveland is a nice little town not too far away, but a little boring. Lillos in Leland is legit. Cisaro's if still in indianola was pretty good. The Avon mall which was a country gas station had good biscuits. Was clutch during hunting season. The Cowpen across the bridge in Arkansas is a good place to eat as well.

The Delta is only good for duck and deer hunting. Nothing else. It sucks at everything else.

Passed through there on the way to a vacation in NW Arkansas. Only decent hotel in town was booked, but my FIL wasn’t driving any further. We ended up staying in a place run by Middle Easterners that only took cash and had a guy posted up outside with a pistol and a security t-shirt. My son and his friend both got scabies from the hotel bed. Needless to say, I don’t have a high opinion of the place.

I have done 3 or 4 pipeline jobs in Greenville, MS. Whenever I had to go check on the projects, I just stayed in Monroe, LA and drove up. I would honestly stay in Lake Village, AR and just drive over if I was forced to be close to Greenville.

Doe's is the very overrated, especially considering the prices. The Butchers Block is a good place for lunch. Try not to get robbed or killed.
