VERY smart, very protective, and very sweet at the same time.

But they need cooler weather, lots of room to burn energy, and they shed really really bad.

Not propoganda. Just stuff. Talking with people. Seeing videos online, etc. like if I’ve seen a video of a dog doing something douchy or causing trouble or being extremely stubborn, it has had just as much of a chance being a husky as any other dog.

I’m not a fan of that bellowing they do. Not saying other dogs don’t but every frickin husky I’ve ever seen just wails the walls off.

We currently have our third husky. They are cool, smart dogs but tend to very strong willed and stubborn. They are also notorious escape artists and runners. You can't really have them off leash even if well trained. They adapt well to warmer climates as they have a double coat with an undercoat that keeps them warm in the winter and helps keep them cool in the warmer months. The shedding is really bad though.

A lot of morons get husky's because they are great looking dogs and don't realize they aren't meant to hang around the house or have small yards

100%. My sister has two huskies that she keeps very active. They are fantastic dogs. On the other hand my FIL/MIL have a husky that they got because it looked cool and it's a nightmare. They basically have to dog proof their house because anything left lying around within that dogs reach, it will take and destroy. They may take the dog for a 1/2 mile walk per day.

My neighbor had one. That dog was super smart. You could just look at her and tell she was figuring out complex problems. If that thing had opposable thumbs I would have damn sure kept my house locked tighter at night.

An ex-girlfriend's parents had one. He was very...crafty and somewhat aloof. He wasn't an aggressive dog, but he wasn't friendly or needy like a golden or a labrador.

Basically, he had the temperament of a cat.

A roommate in college had one, so my only experience with them. His was neurotic as hell and annoying as shite, but my roommate never took him out for walks or exercise or anything.

He also shed like nothing I've ever seen.

I used to live a few houses down from one. If it saw me outside it would howl until I walked down and petted it.

They are on the generic unauthorized breed list for apartments.

If you've ever lived next door to a husky, you know why. Those sumbitches never shut the frick up.

My sister had one. It got out and proceeded to eat a poodle... He looked like a newspaper, black, white and red all over. They had to get rid of it...

They are very cat like. Smart animals but don’t expect to teach them much.

Cats are absolutely trainable. They just don't take commands from inferior animals, Doug.

They're different, and can be problematic. Depends on personality.

Very obstinate, ornery pups. Don't buy into the social media hive mind that the breed is problematic.
