Don't do it. But personal use won't kill anyone. Just don't drive high. That's all I ask

I don't have kids. But it's hurts seeing there lives ruined. No forgiveness for people who hurt the innocent.

If I'm within a block of my home and you pulled me over for something like an expired brake tag or a brake light was out, and you got the impression I'd had a couple drinks, would you arrest me for dui even if I passed the field sobriety? In this hypothetical I probably refuse breathalyzer.. Tia
If you passed the standard field soberity tests then I wouldn't. I would ask if you could walk or bring you home. But if I detect your impaired by drugs it's a different story.

Have you ever driven in a situation where you'd refuse a breathalyzer if you got pulled over because you knew how much you'd had to drink?

Each person has their dream job. I found mine. Some can do it, some can't. I couldn't be an accountant or a doctor. Many heroes in this world.

A lot of dui questions. But it depends on the state laws. Here you're license is suspended and if you refuse it's a higher charged crime

If you could arrest 1 poster from the OT without cause, who wouid it be?

Are there many officers that smoke weed to chill out at home?
Posted on 6/18/17 at 11:45 pm to Rebel
Tough question. Haven't had any argue with me yet. I believe there was a poster that didn't see pedophiles to be bad. I don't see how anyone could justify it

I don't drive after drinking, I have a DUI from around 10 years ago and will never get another.
My question worded differently though was whether you've ever driven in a situation where you could've been charged with a DUI if you had been pulled over?

None that I know personally. But I'm sure some do

I don't smoke and won't even drive after taking Benedryl. I know people that smoke though and they don't seem like criminals to me.

Good for you for admitting fault and improving yourself. But I never had. Knock on wood I wouldn't make that mistake. I've witnessed bad dui crashes and had personal friends/family involved in them when I was young. I've seen one mistake change and ruin lives as a cop and as a child.

You seem like a good dude. Thanks for answering my questions and thanks for serving and protecting the community!

Most states it will be legal. Just keep it in your home and don't let children around it. Also just don't drive. Good for you though for being smart and safe. It's not worth it

No problem. Appreciate your support.

Thanks man. And for mine I was coherent and passed the field sobriety test on site and at the field office but refused the breathalyzer, which is an automatic conviction essentially.

More than welcome to come on over and work here
I'm lucky enough to work at a great agency that doesn't put up with dumb officer's crap but will have your back if need be.

Well sounds like a crappy time. But not everyone who has a dui is bad person.

I might take you up on that. What's the retirement plan like in FL? I've heard mix reviews on pay in FL
