Even if you had a man the same height and weight as her, she is still biologically and physically weaker.

That’s the last thing a non-wrestler would want to do

Y'all are trolling or retarded.

I'm not even some defender of women... but y'all are totally ignorant when it comes to fighting and have no clue how good top line professional fighters are, men and women.

And because you don't know what you're talking about, you have no idea what is realistic and what is not.

I've seen women make much larger blue belts look silly.

Yes. But knowing how to actually fight is way more important than strength, regardless of who’s rfighting. I’ll take the 5’9” 170lb dude who’s somewhat well trained over the 6’2” roid head that’s never thrown a punch any day of the week

Not to mention the “average” guy would be wanting to throw up after 30 seconds from being out of shape.

Joe Rogan has a podcast where he talks about men and women fighting. Apparently he's seen plenty sparring and grappling sessions between men and women in his experience. He says a guy with a minimum amount of training will beat most professional female fighters simply based on strength and athleticism especially because of striking. He did say there were exceptions though

I am somewhat between these two thoughts.

I feel like an average male who does not work out whatsoever and doesn't really have much size would absolutely get beat by a professional like Ronda Rousey. Too much training in the sport.

Similar discussion about this and one guy said this

Keep in mind, this discussion wasn't exactly about regular guys fighting her. More about guys with training fighting her I think. I didn't read it all yet.

Terrible analogy. No one is claiming your average joe could win in a bjj match.

This is an interesting observation. I am not saying I agree with it or not.. but..

quote:

Just trying to look at a situation logically. The same people laughing at the idea of Ronda beating virtually any man her size almost unanimously said Jeremy Horn would submit Klitschko in seconds, a guy who is twice his size, 30-40lb heavier, far stronger, faster, and more powerful. I don't understand why a woman looking at a 50% strength disadvantage would have no hope of beating a man, while men often beat other men while at greater than 50% strength advantage (often in conjunction with size disadvantage as well).

That's a good point.

Also, I have known a lot big guys (non muscular, never worked out) who were incredibly out of shape and extremely weak.. to a point it was hard to believe.. just given their actual size.

However, one could say even with a guy being much smaller than his guy opponent.. A guy is more likely to possess "knock-out power" while a girl may not?

I am not really sure, but I believe Ronda Rousey would win most hypothetical fights against average guys.

Her one rep max is 150??? She’s basically the strength equivalent of an athletic 8th grader. How skilled would even the most powerful middle school child have to be, to stand a chance against a grown man?

This discussion is silly. Any man that has a killer instinct would destroy RR or any other female fighter. There are obviously plenty of pussies that have no business fighting in the first place, but barring that Rousey is hosed.

I know right?

Thread makes no sense. Basically asserting if you had 100 average dudes line up to fight Ronda beats 51 of them. That’s 100 random average baws who would out weigh her by 60 pounds.

Funny guys.

This is impressive.

12 pages of out of shape guys who would show up with a boner in sweat pants, chase Rousey around the ring for 45 seconds, flail at her, get caught in the arm bar, and leave with an injury.

The “average” guy didn’t even play sports in high school, let alone do anything athletic since. This is a sports board so the number of former athletes in the OT are probably a little skewed.

For my high school, we had 1600 students - so let’s say 800 males. 400 of those would be juniors or seniors. With that we had a 60 person football team, 15 person basketball team, 15 or so wrestlers, another 40 in track, 25 in baseball. Throw in some random sports and we may be inching toward 200 total positions in varsity athletics. However, most people who played sports were 2 or 3 sport athletes.

If I had to guess (based on memories of 20+ years ago), of the 400 junior and senior males at my high school we probably had less than 100 that were athletes or worked out with any frequency.

So imagine that “average” guy, the one who never even really worked out in high school. Let him gain 50 lbs while sitting in his arse in his 10-20 years since high school, yeah... I’m thinking Rhonda takes him.

In a street fight? Yes. In the ring? No way. I play sports still, but I'm not in shape like a professional athlete. I would be dead tired during the first round.

Actually, I take back the street fight. Yeah could fight dirty, but she could just nut shot you and youre done.

She claims 5’7 but she’s actually about 5’5.

Average soy boy cuck today would get their arse beat. An reasonably in shape guy would dominate her.

The delusion in this thread has reached 10/10.

Rousey would destroy any man that doesn't have the skill set she has

People have a totally unrealistic expectation when they talk about “street fights” and “fighting dirty”.

For some reason, people seem to think they’d easily be able to just do something dirty and a trained fighter wouldn’t have a clue how to defend against it and you’ll just win the fight like that.

That’s fantasy.

Yes, professional fighters fight in a ring for money, but that doesn’t mean they are totally oblivious to knowing how to fight when there aren’t any rules. And as if some untrained goober can pull off any dirty tactics.

You will be so busy trying to defend and in such poor position that you will not be able to do anything.

To liken it to a scenario maybe you can relate to, I can remember wrestling/fighting my older brother when I was a kid. He’d have me all tied up where I couldn’t move well. I’d try to hit him in the nuts to get him off. Did it work? No, it just made him mad.

Same thing here. You aren’t going to be able to do anything dirty against a professional fighter.

Ronda turned out to be smoke and mirrors. A better question is how many average OT males (6’2”+ 200+ lbs) wouldn’t get embarassed by this girl who walks around at 5’8” 160
