Losing 5 million viewers hurts the ratings of the network
This is the bigger question.
TPUSA could have 100M views but if they didn't take a significant portion from the game, then its impact was minimal.

BB show wasn't as bad as I expected. The quality of the performance was pretty awful as anticipated, but I thought the structure of it was better with the sets and a really good artist would have made that concept a really good show IMO.
TPUSA show was also better than I expected.

I turned on both to check em out. Both were terrible.

Yeah I am not in the Bad Bunny demo and his music sucked, but the overall production was top tier and one of the better ones in some time for the halftime show.
The TPUSA stuff was just boring and bland. It was also largely bad music, but they were just standing there. Watching YT videos of their music videos would probably have been more entertaining.

I watched neither, but acting like 133 million just watched BB and simply didn't change the channel during halftime is so disengenious.
TPUSA only started working on their show like a month ago

In all fairness it was the Super Bowl, always the most watched event of the year. Plus the Turning Point show was hard to find. I had to add a channel on YouTubeTv to watch.
ETA - But I did watch both. The Bad Bunny (what a stupid name) show was a basic generic copy of every Super Bowl show in the past 30 years, just in a foreign language.

Saw both. At a party with four TVs. Bunny was better.
But the stream for the other one had over 6M when they turned it on. So I'm sure that number is a blatant lie considering they honored a guy that the media was gleeful when he was killed, then danced on his grave.

Im a conservative and honestly its pathetic and embarrassing the amount of racist whites who were promoting this turning point crap halftime special. Get tf over yourself there were some bad bitches and an actual marriage on the real halftime show

Turning Points was a good idea and was a success
Nothing was going to put a dent on the Super Bowl and worldwide appeal of Bad Bunny
Both statements can be true

You do know having the TV on does not equate to watching that, don't you? Also, TPUSA posted better than 25M views on all platforms. Hate on
The text they sent out before halftime to lure people away from the real halftime show was downright pathetic.

It was just to give people an alternative option. Anyone who thought it would compete with the superbowl going international is just being stupid.

As long as the TPUSA crowd accepts their halftime show as quality entertainment rather than a seismic event that will cascade into change within the NFL, everyone wins.

So a lot of large groups watched TPUSA but the large crowds that watched the halftime show at bars and viewing parties on the same tv don’t also get credit? Lmao. You guys can spin it however you’d like.
