It did. Coursey Blvd has lights and most subdivisions on the south side are good.

Day 5 and crews still haven’t touched the cluster frick on old Hammond by Brentwood. Trees, cars and wires still in road.
I'm starting to wonder if the city won't touch the cars and tree because there are power lines on them and Entergy won't touch the powerlines because there's a wreck there and everyone who needs to be beaten in the head with a claw hammer is sitting there with one hand pointing at the other guy and the thumb on the other hand stuck up their arse while traffic and the people that live in that area can get fricked.
Why the frick haven't they moved that shite out of the road or at least into one lane?! It's not as if Old Hammond is a minor road in some fricking cul-de-sac neighborhood.

Saw 1 on Pickett earlier. It’s just BS that we had power and then they’ve cut it for over a day at this point

Hopefully they took it out to bring up the rest of Pickett and the parts that the tree on Sweetbriar took down?
Just speculation, I know nothing

Pleasure meeting you.
To the other Oak Hills folks in here, the linesman I talked to earlier said likely restoration tomorrow. They have two mount two new poles and are replacing two old transformers with a single unit. He was pretty cool and transparent with me.
The silver lining of this storm is getting to meet some or my neighbors. Gotta take the good with the bad!
EDIT: The linesman said they work “until dark” which was a bit surprising to me. Figured the widespread outage constituted overnight work as well but at least we have a definitive timeframe now

Anyone have any Broadmoor updates? My elderly parents are still out of power, getting annoyed with filling up the generator, but won’t leave to stay with me or my brother. I was there yesterday and there were a ton of trucks around. The lines on the servitude behind their house were all clear, but they were waiting for it to be energized. Not sure what the holdup is.

Neither does most of old goodwood.

It’s more dangerous for them to work at night.

If you’re courteous and direct with the linesmen on the ground they’re usually very straightforward with what the plan is and how much longer the work will need to go on. But I guess if you’re not in the area that becomes trickier.

I understand that but I’ve also seen people mention getting power back at like 11pm. So apparently some work is done at night. I guess inside a residential area doesn’t constitute enough emergency to get a night crew rolling.

Me when I got home from work.

Watch your arse in Broadmoor. It’s 6pm and the crews that have been sitting on their asses for the last 3 hours are headed for their hotels, beer and porn flicks.
An honest audit of this group would result in fraud charges for millions by the end of this recovery.

Energizing substations and closing breakers via SCADA doesn’t require linemen to be up in buckets doing work.
