Agree have had limited sightings of workers in oak forest area. Maybe that changes soon.

that general area,,, where there are a lot of trees ,,at least near

its amongst the worst hit

It's always among the worst hit. Some of the last ones to get it back after the derecho were in my neighborhood. All of this part of town is 40+ years old and trees are huge. We are magnet for bad weather as well. Horrible during the derecho. We had the bad microburst storm last year. After Ike, we looked like a war zone with tons of giant oaks down. But my little neighborhood doesn't seem to flood, even though everywhere around us did during Harvey. Lots of houses near Cypress Creek were sold back to FEMA. One whole neighborhood that's now a park.

Hopefully, there are some good generator deals on Prime Day next week.

That’s a great stat. Found the link on Khou.

Those numbers come directly from filings with PUC. I am sure CenterPoint has a way to spin this somehow.

We have trees down everywhere. Multiple residents have trees that fell through lines and then into their house. They are not allowed to remove the trees/tarp until centerpoint approves/removes the lines. They were begging centerpoint to just come out and approve tree removal but no one even entered our neighborhood for four days. It has been raining into their exposed homes heavily the last two days.

The county judge needs our help.

It sucks that that Wal-Mart closed. We didn’t shop there much but if you needed something it was very convenient. Closest now is Spring Cypress or brave the drive east on 1960

What exactly is she asking for? Is there a population of trained tree removal people just sitting in the bullpen? I’ve got my property taken care of but I have no training.

On Tuesday AM (0400), I figured College Station would have Marriott hotels that had power. The closest location with availability to CS was in Waller. Next closest was in San Antonio. However, probably 15% of the hotel checked out Tuesday, so availability may be better.

And for the love of all that is holy, do NOT book a room through an OTA (Priceline, Expedia, etc.) Their room inventory does not update in near real time like direct hotel websites do. The OTAs routinely oversell hotels in normal circumstances, you don't want to be showing up with the fam, a vehicle full of crap, only to be told you gotta go somewhere else.

The outages, particularly with traffic lights is weird. Every light west of 99 on Cinco Ranch worked, except for the one at Cinco Crossing today. Yesterday, I was driving down 6 from 290, and plenty of lights worked fine, and then at a random intersection the light was out, but every retail store I could see at the intersection had power.
