I’ve worked my arse off on this thing but a lot of good people have helped me hunt down parts and gone out of their way to help. It’s nice to see the world hasn’t completely gone to shite.

Just checked and the eastern part of my hood is lit up roughly 24 hrs after yesterday’s projection. I think the fix at Richardson road was the kingpin for them. We must be on the Hargrave side of Cutten. I tried to go down Hargrave a few days ago and it was blocked by two huge trees over the road and lined were down. I hear that street is clear now. Hopefully the lines can go up now.

Absolutely. I rolled up into generators of Houston today and they weren’t even open but the people there dug all through what they had to look for the part I needed. Waukesha pierce came through yesterday for the controller and my installer and a buddy of his have been on the phone with me or at my house continuously through the problems. Ended up getting the part I needed from a solar dealer I work with that’s also a generac dealer and they drove it over to me. Still going. Fingers crossed that was the last of the issues. I’ll install 8 ground rods tomorrow. Probably end up hitting a gas line because that my luck lately but no more lightning strikes. Maybe…

I’m not sure if I want to pierce the veil of the inner circle.

My husband is having the guy who does his electrical work on the rice bins give the quote. Will mention this so he can ask. Thanks!

Let me consider your request for a date.
Back on point to the thread. I’ve resigned myself to ride this out. I only have cell data and my house is hostile to a cellular signal. So shite is very slow. With your contacts/prowess is Wednesday reasonable?

Ouch that’s harsh. I thought we were efriends.
Tell rummy or Fred to vouch for you and I’ll maybe reconsider.

How old is your generator? Is it running 24/7?
I want to install a standby generator but I have to get has run from the road and everything since my house is all electric. Don't want to do all of that and end up with more trouble than it's worth.

Oh and BTW, I’m kinda enjoying the generator resurrection part of this thread.

running 23/7. I shut it down once a day to let it cool down and check oil, maybe change if needed.
Installed a couple weeks ago, it had 0 hours on it Monday when he hurricane hit.
My issues are not symptomatic of Generac, as irritated as i sounded in earlier posts. This wasn't their fault. It was an unfortunate series of events. Hurricane that put me in a situation to run it hard, then it got hit by lightning.
I have been impressed with my access to the generac network if i'm being honest. I've been able to find parts, with a lot of work albeit, but find them and get back online.

Haven't dealt with them but i was able to hunt down parts through other people.
Honestly, these are pretty simple units. Thats a good thing. i know the spare parts i need now for catastrophic failure and i think i'll be better prepared.
