Box set of Mad Men and watch it together. Have her relive her glory days and tell you how good life was back then

My grandmother lives in a nursing home -- she's 99 and healthy as a horse although she can't remember squat.
We typically buy candy (soft, chocolate type) or cookies; also have done slippers or socks with the rubber grippers.
If she's at home and a younger grandmother, I love the b/w photo suggestion. If she's out and about, take her to lunch in you're nearby.

We did an electronic picture frame a year and a half ago. We can upload pictures by emailing a certain email address. Since my siblings and cousins are all spread out, it helps keep her up to date on what we’ve been up to. She loves it.

What he said. Photographs are inexpensive, as are adequate frames. Could be a significant family photo or pic from her past. Or maybe she would prefer Fabio or Tom Jones...

No details--how old is she? Married? LSU fan? Living alone or in nursing home? You know, Funky, grandmas are people, too. Meaning they aren't all the same. If my grandma-aged mother was still living, I'd be getting her this for sure.

If you're grandma is a Bama fan, I can't help you.

I think I know what I’m getting some friends for next Christmas.

Google Nest Hub, then link your family photos to the account and set up as a screen saver. You can upload new photos from your phone whenever. She can use it for morning weather updates, music, etc...
I just got one for my 80+ parents and they love it. FWIW, my dad has a flip phone and can barely use a computer, but loves it, as does my mom. Just had to print out all the phrases and tell them how to easily get back to home screen.
