box fan, ceiling fan, hotel air conditioner, etc....any constant noise like that works great for me...

Ideally rain, but if not, I have an air purifier. I can't sleep with the tv on

I have an orange barrel fan from home depot next to my bed.
Even movement in the room wakes me up so it helps. I still wake up every time the dogs or my wife moves in their sleep, but I don't wake up when the damned idiotic coyptes decide to have an opera at 4 a.m.

I once had to spend a week in Jackson, MS for work. I had a difficult time sleeping until I got a white noise machine to drown out the black noise. It works.
