Pretty much any seismograph will pick this up.
This is an interesting article from Science Magazine about phantom shaking a couple years ago that registered all over the world for 9 days. It is a pretty amazing read.

In September 2023, an unusual seismic signal raced around the world, zipping from eastern Greenland to Antarctica in less than 1 hour. The seismic waves continued to radiate worldwide for 9 days, ringing Earth like a giant bell.
Now, scientists have tracked these mysterious signals to their source—a colossal landslide in a remote Greenland fjord that sparked tsunami waves up to 200 meters tall

How would the Gulf Coast be impacted by a tsunami from an earthquake? Would the origin need to be somewhere like Venezuela or elsewhere on the top of South America to hit the Gulf Coast?
Alexandria would be beachfront property.

Speck bite should be on fire with the rising tide.

It's strange when you look at how we're encircled with the small opening to the Gulf where one could enter.
That shite would be horrifying.

That shite would be horrifying.

When was the last time there was a quake this strong? 8.8 is hard to fathom. I mean, in that video, shite doesn’t jsit fall over, it’s hurled across the room.

This is the strongest since the Japan earthquake that caused the tsunami that took out Fukushima in 2011, I think.

I hope you stay safe out there
. There should be updates over the next few hours about potential wave height by the time it reaches where you're at. Worst case, you take the family and drive up the mountains for an evening star gazing trip? Highway 26 i think it is
