Considering that the newest Euro only extends to 10 day (240 hrs), its quite possible the next frames would identify a frozen mess in SELA as the 6z GFS did between the 252-288 hr intervals. Tomorrow's Euro runs should start bringing that frame into focus
But has Peej weighed in with a fearless prediction yet? I'm assuming it'll be a nuttin burger until he gives the all-clear--at which point I'm investing in snow tires, chainsaws, and as much firewood as possible.
Sorry, Peej, had to get a little jab in there, but I was mainly just wanting to bookmark this thread for future reference (had to venture off Page 1 to locate it--found a lot of other "old" threads that were put out to pasture in those nether regions).

What are your thoughts on driving from Houston to Hill Country on the 27th. I’m not interested in playing bumper cars.

I'm supposed to be heading back to Lafayette from Midland, TX right around the time this storm is expected to hit.
How fricked am I?

I like the low 50s/upper 30s from Christmas to New Years. The Weather Channel showed the same kind of temps about this long before the last snow storm.

As long as I can still make TSO on the 22nd and ride up the DNT without needed skates, I’m good with whatever happens minus tornadoes.

WTF is up with this current front? Local forecasts had us @ 80% rain chance by 8:00 this evening, and we ain't seen shite over here in the LP. Radar shows it just breaching Houston at the moment. Is it gonna speed up or what? Also, how long will it be hanging around? I've got some sick/personal days to burn before 2018. Am I gonna be sick on Monday?
