Back when our military was chasing Al Qaeda, there was intelligence suggesting bin Laden was at Tora Bora--- Dec 2001.
Our military moved in and did some serious damage to the area.
At that time, there were people in the intelligence community that believed we killed OBL during those strikes.
As it turns out, we didn't get Bin laden there. He escaped.
