Too damn hot to watch baseball. Might affect attendance at the other event as well.
Just watched cops set up for something right out my window. Getting dogs out. Milled around, talked as a group, then loaded up and headed towards the park. Just typical prep I guess.

Going there for work on Monday. Hope they're tired by then.

So, we had a 100 man March? Sweet. B'ham baws are just a touch different, I suppose.

I've lived in Alabama, Ohio (3x), South Carolina, Virginia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and North Dakota. I am convinced that race relations in Alabama are better than anywhere else I've lived, and better than most of the country.
Why? Because of the poverty rate, so many people are just trying to get by that they don't have time, or energy, to care about racial issues. Everyone just does their thing right along with everyone else. Sure there are some old racists, but by and large middle age and younger just get along for the most part.

Birmingham turned the hoses on peaceful protestors, turned the dogs loose on protestors, and had churches bombed during the Civil Rights struggle. Just last month, Birmingham had a police shooting of a former high school football star and nothing happened.
We've been there and done that.
We've been there and done that.

I find no fault with this. Lived here my whole life and have never had issues. We all get along quite well for the most part. Traveled a lot and honestly, the northern states have far worse race relations than us, yet they slam us for being racist.

So people are living in fear????? OK.. Give them what THEY want... SAD..............I WILL NOT live in fear from a bunch of people that can't realize that their race commits terrible crimes daily and think nothing should be done to them....
