I'm going to be offended by this, as soon as I stop laughing.

If progressives didn’t have double standards they wouldn’t have any standards at all

Spent a couple of summers working for my buddy in a little grocery store in an all black neighborhood. It was eye opening the differentiation black folks made amongst themselves: high yellow, good skin, bad skin, talking too white, keeping it real, etc, etc, etc.

she was let go for playfully referring to "light-skinned motherfrickers" in an exchange with a cook who was giving her a hard time. The comment, a reference to light-skinned Black people, played on a stereotype about their being "uppity," Turner said. She and the cook are both light-skinned, but white women servers in the vicinity took offense and complained of discrimination, Turner said she was told during her Saturday termination.
Simple misunderstanding. Her co-workers were clearly unaware that this is the acceptable kind of racism

The real question is, would a white waitress be fired for offending black coworkers with a 'dark skinned joke?"
not only from her current job, but also preemptively from all future jobs.

This is actually perfectly acceptable in 2021

Logic must not be one of her strong suits.

Pretty amazing how much lack of self awareness and hypocrisy you can fit in 1 video

I'd be willing to bet she actually said "white-skinned mf'ers" and is claiming otherwise to incite outrage of uneducated Detroit residents, of which there are many.

Before she was even loaded into the ambulance to be taken to the hospital and then to jail

Judging from her picture she has a future as a lesbian/gender studies professor at SJW State University.

White girls will be in trouble for culturally appropriating being offended.

As much as I dislike white ultra-liberals (like the woman they interviewed, who was protesting), I am consistent with my views. I don't think she should have lost her job over this.
Each situation is different so I am not going to get caught up in this "well its good she lost her job because it happens the other way all the time". IF she was fired JUST for using "light skinned" that falls under cancel culture. And we shouldn't get caught up in "they want to cancel people all the time, now we are going to cancel them".
If you take that approach it will only make it worse because then everyone will be looking for every reason to cancel each other..
