Simplest solution is to use the scraper blade to remove debris, followed by a good spray of Pam (or other spray oil). Do this immediately following your cook.

In over 4 years of use, mine has never rusted using this method.

36” is too big, imo.

Could not disagree more. If you have room for the 36", buy it. I have never thought, damn that extra space sure sucks.

You can leave the last two burners off for a cool side to move things, or cook a shite ton of stuff at once.

Well crap. What do you mean keep up is a lot and why is it necessary to use that often?

HEB sells their own version but it has the grease dump drain at the front of the grill for easy disposal

Yep. When done scrape the debris off. I have a squirt bottle full of water. Spray water and wipe with a towel. The spray it down with Pam and cover. Takes all of 3-5 minutes.

It's not. It is fine and fun to mess around with. Blackstone griddlers has a facebook group that has good info.

I have a knockoff black stone and got a four burner. If you have the room go bigger.

I’ve moved it to our camp and cook breakfast on it daily when we’re there. I use it a lot more at the camp than I did at home.

My son and a friend of ours have a blackstone. Seems fine. I thought he was saying the knockoff one we got had specific issues.

Nah, he is probably like a few of my friends who hate them bc they are too lazy to do a few simple steps after cooking which causes it to rust.

Follow the procedures mentioned in this thread and you will never have issues.

I actually love mine for larger quantity meals.

For a quick meal for just a couple people it's a pain in the arse. (effort to clean the grill is too much for small meal IMO).

Why would you need to use it 2/3 times a week?

My husband has always cleaned his grills after cooking and he mentioned some of the reviews talked about rust. Then he said they probably are not cleaned and covered so I think it will be fine.

Other than phillys, fried rice, smash burgers and breakfast what all does everyone cook on these things?

Steaks
Fajitas
Quesadillas
Pork chops

Looking for more ideas too, but those are what I've done.

Season a steak how you like it, slather on melted butter and put on a scalding hot griddle. you will not go back to a grill.

Where can you get the fitting and hose to go to a regular propane tank instead of the small bottles And do you need a regulator in between the two?

I have the 36" Academy knockoff. It's huge, but it gives me a lot of extra "keep warm" space. I wouldn't want a smaller one.
