So, an "anti-violence" activist stated that "justice" came when a racist waste of flesh murdered three good men because of their uniform and the black community's inability to accept that they have plenty of violent shitheads among them?

This is North Baton Rouge in a nutshell. This is why that area will forever be a shithole, and South Baton Rouge will soon be a shithole due to North Baton Rouge moving south. This mindset is a cancer to any civilized society.

Justice was served when they rightfully declared the cops were not indicted. Get a fricking dictionary, Silky.

You wanted her, you got her.

BR has no one to blame but themselves. Next time, get out and vote and shitbags like SWB won't be elected.

Hopefully Mr Slim doesn't step out into traffic anytime soon

Not sure how I'd handle those comments if I were a close member of one of the fallen officers.

Baton Rouge needs better leaders. And leaders who will denounce other leaders when they step over the line.

Wow. She actually did the right thing for once.

quote:

"The remarks made at last night’s Metro Council meeting by Arthur 'Silky Slim' Reed were hateful, offensive, and frankly unacceptable,” the mayor's office said in a statement.

“Reed previously served on an advisory board earlier this year focused on police and community relations. That committee, which was made up of law enforcement, faith-based leaders and community leaders was disbanded earlier in February. At the time, he was thought to be a person dedicated to improving police-citizen relations.”

The mayor's office also said Reed's contract with the BRAVE crime fighting program where he worked as a street counselor was canceled, too.

“The remarks made last night in no way reflect the views of my administration or the people of Baton Rouge. The memories of the fallen officers who were killed in the line of duty, protecting the citizens of Baton Rouge, should be honored and preserved,” the mayor said in the statement.

I'm surprised she can string together those many words without having the words "black" or "race" in there somewhere.
