Yeah, but you have to admit that bringing someone in who you tapped to help on police reform who now comes back and says those cops that had nothing to do with the AS event got what they deserved, and did so by divine intervention, doesn't look good.
It just shows a very distinct pattern in which SWB keeps proving that she has extremely bad judgement and doesn't vet her advisers properly.

Of course Gary Chambers doesn't even have the balls to point out his constituents outlandish bs. He deflects to being mistreated and equates that to what silk said. Such bullshite.

Yeah, well that's the problem with his whole community. Nothing is ever their fault and they try to justify everything by saying "so and so did this which is the same thing" (when it clearly isn't). They wonder why they're behind the 8 ball on everything but they're always the first ones to deflect, blame others, or make outlandish accusations so they don't have to look in the mirror and address the real problems in their community. You could give them every advantage in the world, but they would still fail because they refuse to relinquish their corrosive mentalities.

Seriously. If that community honestly believes the police are all out there just to kill black people and cover it up, why don't even the rational ones look at the statistics of 1 black guy killed last year and say, "hey, either the KKK BRPD suck at randomly killing black people, or we are idiots for thinking this way."
Same thing can be said nationwide.

Y'all should go read the Facebook comments on the article on WAFB. It appears that this is a common sentiment, and our fellow silky isn't the only one in BR who feels this way...

Which word in the phrase above does not belong? For the slow people around here, I've included a hint.
Statistics? How the hell do you think they can understand that?

I'm pretty sure that the answer to that is obvious.

Because their "allies" placate them by saying things like "math is racist" - I shite you not - so they don't have to face the reality that their demographic is responsible for half the murders in this country despite being only 7% of the population (black males). They also want to ignore that most of those they kill are also black males. It's like saying you're scared of being killed by ISIS while you're juggling grenades with the pins falling out.
Math is racist

I don't need to read those comments to know that his sentiments are likely held by a good chunk of the NBR community. That's why I like people like silky getting up there and saying this shite publicly. It really helps you get a feel for what a lot of BR is thinking.

None of that surprises me one bit. Louis Farrakhan called for the outright murder of police during the Michael Brown riots

Not surprising when that's all your followers know.

It sucks because it's people like these that will eventually drive me out of my hometown.

And then they'll demonize you for leaving
They're in a no-lose situation on that front, but in the end, they'll still be the ultimate losers in life. But they'll feel good because they'll be convinced it's not their fault.

Reed, who served on Broome’s advisory board on police and community relations, says the mayor called him around 8 a.m. to let him know she no longer needed him on the board and that she would be issuing the written statement. “She told me that she thought it would be in her best interest to distance herself from our relationship and that I would no longer be on the police advisory reform board and she said she had to make a public statement,” Reed says. “I said, ‘I don’t have a problem with it. I’m cool with that.’” In the statement, Broome says the advisory council disbanded in February. Reed says he was under the impression he was still serving on the council and that he was only informed this morning that he would no longer be. Reed says he is not sorry for the remarks, though he says they were taken out of context. “Controversy is needed,” he says. “This isn’t something that can be swept up under the rug. I don’t regret things that I say. It had a bigger impact than what I expected. But I’m glad it has stirred up controversy.”

Yep. I've seen people on here criticize white flight but who wants to live around that shite? I do actually feel sorry for normal middle class blacks because they don't want to live around it either.

I'm not denying that there are some, but this issue doesn't appear to just be divided down the class line.
