I grew up off of Greenwell Springs and Monterrey Blvd, so Video Palace was the closest to us, but I really loved Video Co-op. Once we started going there, we never went anywhere else. Great memories of renting horror movies and Nintendo games.
I had a friend who lived off Oneal and he rented his videos from Video Visions. I liked how they had all the sections decorated to match their genres.

It was actually a clown underneath the Gorilla outfit. Clown was too scary from the road.
We had some serious Co-ball games in there when there were zero customers. Great times.

Were you there during the good times? Or when they began to have to diversify into the beeper business?

How did I miss this?
I remember when Video Co-op actually had a Beta section.
And sweating that No Retreat, No Surrender poster so much that I'd get weekly updates from the owner about when to expect the movie to finally arrive.

West Coast Video (corner of Tiger Bend and Jones Creek. It's currently a "Tuesday Morning" store)

I somewhat remember this. Where was it? Wasn't it kind of like an Alfalfa?

Showbiz was near Village St George off Perkind and then moved out to Burbank, IIRC

Major Video was the best
Hmmm, it may be getting time for my Gardere nostalgia essay...

Had like 60 dollars in late fees at this place (Box Office Video) from renting porn when I was living in Tiger Plaza. Then it went out of business and I didn't have to pay. What a relief.
