Because African-American doesn’t, as they may not be an American, and they may very well not hail from Africa either. It’s like assuming because I’m white that I come from Europe and am a European-American. What if my family comes from Argentina, or South Africa? Wouldn’t that make me an Argentinian-American, or even an African-American myself?

It’s nonsense.
What about black?

Yeah, the current term has changed in acceptability in my life many times. We went from Negro, to Colored People, to Black, to African-American, and now back to Black, or some still go by African-American. Nobody really knows for sure. You just take your chances.

Every bit of this is complete and utter fricking nonsense, but I’ll tell you this, stick around a bit and it will change yet again.
So what? It bothers you that people want to be called something that doesn't upset them?

No, it isn't. You specifically differentiated them in the original post I asked you about and throughout this argument.

People will be upset when they choose to be upset. Everything on God’s green earth upsets them these days, not because it’s offensive, but because they’re miserable inside, and they want to be upset over it. It’s childish, and these are childish ramblings.

When everything really just means the same thing, (and Honestly, it’s stupid. Your skin color is not who you are. Your actions and attitude are who you are, no matter what you are called.)

How is “walk-in” remotely offensive?

You are thick headed.

Negro is Spanish and Portuguese for the English word black.

The simple question is HOW is a color offensive?

No, the simple question is why negro is the "most accurate depiction of race".

So because of this, you think we should call black people negros?

It’s more accurate than Colored People, or People of Color, or African-American by light years because it’s the same thing we say now, “black” or “negro”

African-American to describe a certain group. Now they want us to go back to using Black. I guess in 20 years it will go back to Negro.

For the most part, black people have always preferred to simply be called black. Somewhere along the way African-American became the "professional" word to use
But ask any black person ever if they prefer to be called black or African-American, and 90% will tell you black.
