I'm all for the free vacation/trip to california and all, but in no way whatsoever should he "probably be there". It's a friggin proposal. What purpose is he serving anyway, taking pictures? Someone else can do that. Moral support? He can do that by phone. The proposal is a special moment for the bride and groom anyway, anyone else shouldn't really matter during their special moment.
