Whatever went off in that airport check in area was strong enough to cause part of the roof to collapse.

If you have some time and will, you can create death on a level that would shock most people.

It is actually very easy to make explosives with over the counter products that are available in any Wal-Mart or hardware store, that will cause catastrophic consequences. Timothy McVeigh did all of his damage with nothing more than that.
I tend to feel this has been in the works since Paris, and would go into effect if or when the ring leader was killed or arrested.
