[quote]When’s the last time you actually drove one? It has the ride quality of a 1918 Model T. The seats don’t even adjust. If he is used to small car ride quality, a Tacoma is not the way to go.[/quot

Not true, I drive a 2016 Tacoma every day. Ride quality is what you would expect out of any truck, but I think mine drives great and has great power. The seats mechanically adjust (but mine has the power adjust), not sure what you mean. I don't adjust the seats much because they are comfortable.

The Tacoma is one of the best off road capable trucks off the lot. Many people that drive full size would be just fine driving a mid size. It's easier to park. Easier to drive in a city. Can haul a boat or a small camper and will last a very long time with minimal maintenance.

Have you ridden in the newer 3rd gens? They are great trucks.

It’s not bad, but the Jeep Gladiator and Chevy ZR2 are probably better in that respect.

You are right that most would do fine with a mid sized truck. The Colorado, Tacoma, Canyon, and Gladiator are all solid choices. None are as fancy on the inside as the full sized trucks, but they are all solid, safe, and affordable (except the Jeep which can get expensive).

They’ve grown in size over the years. The Colorado is approximately the size of an F-150 from the late 1990s. The current Tacoma may be slightly larger than the original Tundra.

My Silverado was built in Fort Wayne, IN. Some are from Flint, MI.

How many years has the F-150 been the best selling vehicle now?

I heard tundra is going to a new body style this year. Any truth to this or just rumors? I’ve owned 4 tundras and would not buy another truck. They lack in some areas, but totally make up for it in the other ones.

Yes Tundra is supposed to get an update for 2022 models. I haven't seen a ton of info out about it, but I did read it might have a twin turbo V6 option on some trim levels.

I guess that might help on the fuel economy people bitch about but I'm personally not a hug fan of the turbo smaller engines in trucks.

I've want to have the ability to haul things if need be. I don't need to pull a huge camper or anything like that. I've got a son and I think he'd like to go off-roading with me.
Honestly, anything I get will have the 4x4 option. I don't really care about fuel economy.

P.S. I've driven small cars out of necessity. We've always needed me to have a smaller cheaper car and now that's not the case.

I wouldnt take a brand new truck off roading, get a beater for that.

I have a 2020 Sierra SLT. It's been great so far. I have the 5.3L V-8 which is one of the best engines GM has ever put out. I do have a button that I press to take off the feature that stops your engine at red lights. Over 50 miles it gives you an average MPG, my best ever was 32MPG, on a full size truck that can tow 9600lbs.

I was looking hard at a Chevy Trail Boss but decided I didnt need a 4WD truck. Those are really nice though.

I shopped for a month, got prices from every dealer in South LA. Best deal came from Barker in Houma.

Bought a 2020 Ram Limited. Very luxurious and I love it so far!!! Rides better than any truck I’ve ever been in.

People are capitalizing on that lower interest rate for 72-78 months. Kinda makes sense in a dumb way. I just bought a new-used 1500 silverado back in March (due to a hail storm) and am glad I bought when I did.

Have owned Ford, GMC and Tundra. Tundra is the best truck I have ever owned. Will never buy anything else ever again.

Now isn’t the best time to buy GM. Supply is low, so there aren’t many deals going on.
