Can we talk about the weaponized incompetence when it comes to technology? These older folks try to act like they haven't lived around the internet and computers for 25 years.

I could understand older people not knowing how to do some stuff on a phone or computer in like 2012, but we’ve all had this stuff for 15+ years now

This is the core issue if Boomers, and its an interesting cultural development. They care so little for everyone else, have decimated culture and the economy, and ride into the sunset thinking they are God's gift to the earth. The best generation to ever live. Its hilarious the lack of introspection in that generation.
They made A LOT of poor choices for culture, for their kids, for the economy and how we build the country, and yet....

And this feeds more complaining because they somehow don't know how an algorithm works, and the internet is not real life. Unfortunately this isn't exclusive to boomers, and many Gen x'ers and millennials can't grasp this either.
