It's an electrical short.in your harness probably, but not 100%. Is the car restarting and then running bad?
The harnesses were checked. The car restarts fine and does not run rough. I intend to check the fuel tank/valve issue by filling the tank completely and see if the stalling re-occurs. If so, i will battle the dealership to get the fuel tank replaced according to the fuel tank warranty.

I have only ever owned 1 Dodge in my life and I got it in a trade, still have it now and it's a great car. 68 Dart GT,all original, except I had Pertronix convert the distributor to electronic.

Some cars (at least some GM's, Pontiac Sunfire for sure does) run the security system through the instrument cluster. If there's a problem that arises inside it, the car just shuts off.

Did you check the air pressure in the tires?? I bet that's the issue.

I had forgotten about the securtiy thing on my wife's Impala, a flower pot rolling around in the trunk caused us a big headache once....but it wouldn't restart.

A stopped up catalytic converter can cause stalling as well, but it sounds fuel / vacuum related. A bad PCM wouldn't be likely to cause an idle specific problem.

The dealer should guarantee their work from this summer. Stay on them and get them to figure out what is really going on.
This is true. if they've been hard to deal with, let them know you'll be emailing XYZ Motor Company North America with a complaint. If you word it professionaly with details you'll get all the help you need.
Dealerships don't want customer service issues at the nationall level. You can get contact info for customer service off the web.
All of this assumes you have a legitimate issue.

I intend to pursue this action if this is a fuel issue.

Car dies at stops.
Like another poster said, this could mean a gummed up throttle body. Spray it with some throttle body cleaner.
Also, it could be your Idle Air Control valve (IAC). That can get gummed up too. Might be better to replace it than trying to spray it off.
Someone also mentioned your wiring harness. Trying shaking that bitch around and see if it dies.

My mother's car had a similar problem. She eventually bought a new one and gave the faulty car to my BIL. He replaced the battery cables and had no further problems.

Is your battery loose, causing it to make contact with metal when you stop.

You have many people to talk to about it before you start contacting people on the national level. Talk to the service manager first, then the GM of the dealership, and owners after that. If they don't reimburse you for the ridiculous charges, then escalate it to regional/national

Man Once you have computer issues, things go downhill.
My buddy's G6 is going crazy now. We changed everything electrical but the computer, still won't start, computer is vin specific and needs to be flashed. Such a headache.
I would assume you car is American? GMs of the mid to late 00's have these issues.
