so, because you don't like something it shouldn't be allowed?

So what happens if a cruise line says F YOU and books and sails anyway??

(for the record I've never been and don't think I'll ever go on a cruise .. just fly me to St. Thomas or Alaska or wherever.)

Carnival owns Princess, HAL, etc...

If you sail out of the Gulf, yes it's trashy.

I would think our country would then have every right to keep them from coming back to port. I think thats the issue here on why its a Federal thing and not state issue

Wouldn't be able to board if the departure port is in the US or territories. Wouldn't be able to dock if the destination port is in the US or territories. Plus massive amount of fines and imprisonment and shite

...besides all that, it's a great idea

Shut those nasty fricking things down for good. Trashy people on trashy boats that dump trash in the middle of the ocean.

What if all the people on the boat are vaccinated? Why can’t they go?

Someone I know is supposed to go on a cruise in early October. From this article it doesn't sound like that is happening.

Sounds like I need to buy more cruise stock. That dip is going to recover one day.

I bought carnival on April 2 at $8.11. Bought Royal too. Already made bank and letting it ride up until they are blowing and going.

How many shares? Might let it drop a bit with the news today and then snag it up relatively soon for the inevitable spike.

Trust me, Mickey Arunsen would take that as a compliment.

It's one thing to not lift the order.

However, they refuse to even give guidance as to what they expect to happen when the decide it's ok to allow cruises to sail again.

I also don't understand how the CDC has control over this.

Royal Caribbean is starting up in June. Sailing out of Nassau, Bahamas. Requiring vaccine or negative COVID test (for those under 18).

Little over 1200 shares of carnival and 650 of Royal. Carnival is still a good buy for anyone. It will go beyond the $60-$70 range once the green light is given. .
