It's an odd reaction to immediately call it unconstitutional.
It’s also an odd reaction to call someone a pedo for pointing out the ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court has determined laws providing for death penalty in instances of child rape are in violation of the 8th Amendment. My guess is this person is much more informed than you, which is why you went straight to labeling someone. That is a typical liberal move, label someone something terrible if they are correct.
Reagan appointee Anthony Kennedy wrote the opinion, joined by Bush appointee Souter.

This thread has been a trip that's for sure.

This is a much more reasoned response in regards to child rape
quote:
As much as I agree with the sentiment, this was already ruled unconstitutional by SCOTUS in Kennedy v. Louisiana.
I'm sorry I find it odd that a poster that's been around 7 years with 100 posts jumps into a child rape thread. You're free to an opinion just as I am. I'm also not a liberal, spare me the political bullshite.

I find it odd that a factually correct one word response to this thread somehow insinuates that I'm a child rapist. Would my post be okay if I had 11k posts like you?

As someone who's been part of this board since 2009, yea it certainly makes more sense then someone who started and alter account 7 years ago and started posting only recently
I'm sure you're not a pedo.
I'm sure you're not a pedo.

Just pointing out a SCOTUS decision is enough to get you called a pedo. Imagine what happens if you criticize someone's favorite politician!

You just lectured me on post counts and alters, the only one who cares is you

This is how those things get overturned.

Those pedo/rednecks in Bibb County deserve worse than that. Maybe public drawing and quartering.

You're right man, you're totally not an alter.

And this will end up back at SCOTUS. Without a progressive majority that shot it down in Kennedy v. Louisiana,
7 Republican judges out of 9 is considered a progressive majority?

Don't think Biden was ever accused of rape. I was referring to trump

Different era and a different court. Can’t hurt to run it up the chain again while there is a sane majority. Would not the be the first time SC overturned something it had fricked up in the past. See Dread Scott a Roe v. Wade.

SCOTUS has already ruled that death penalty for child molesters is unconstitutional.

Do they get immunity whenever Alabama loses football games?
Posted on 2/13/26 at 12:38 am to OlGrandad
Private prison investors don't bribe 'tough on crime' politicians to kill off profitable prisoners.
Add another wrinkle to keep inmate population high so this won't affect their bottom line and it may happen.

Good, and I guess Trump and the rest of the Epstein Crew should stay away from Alabama.
