You specifically didn't answer the question.

What specifically about our greater understanding of the universe makes aliens any more palatable for us than imperial Rome?

It baffles me that so many people who believe in the bible deny that anything other than human life exist.
man so many Christian’s today are spiritually dead. They say the right things but when it comes to basic biblical knowledge they are lost as can be. Nobody actually sits down and studies the scriptures anymore it’s really sad

I try to start every day with the Word and when I tell people that they look at me like I’m crazy or like where do I find the time but nothing could be more important

Okay, I can answer this.

Specifically, space travel and that ancient Romans were geocentric.

From then to now we have learned that the Earth is not the center of the universe and that there are quite possibly other universes than ours.

yes but it wasn’t the rituals that got them to heaven it was their faith. The blood of bulls and goats was never going to be able to take away their sins. They always needed Jesus as you said

It was always about Jesus

Super Religious people will always twist things to cover their beliefs. Scriptures can be interpreted too many different ways.
30 years ago the religious folks would have told you that there is no way aliens exist because it doesn’t say it in the bible.
Now that it is a realistic possibility, God created them too. Yada Yada.
Personally I’m open to both. But if a space ship shows up and Jesus doesn’t it may be time to reassess.

Does every world have its own Jesus for the sinners?

Has anyone truly ever confirmed the existence other "worlds"? And why would "Science" ( at its core, part mysticism ) confer more credibility than the historical account of Genesis in the Bible ?

Or are we so important only us earthlings get a Jesus?

YES.

Man was made in God's own image.

Because our ancestors soon chose sin & disobedience and self-worship of their own free will, ALL their ancestors' blood became spiritually contaminated.

Solution: Only by sacrificing Pure Divine blood (God-as-Man, Jesus) could re-cleanse us, maing mankind holy and sinless again by proxy and belief that by this Redemption we could again be reunited with God the Father in what is our final Heavenly Home in His presence.

Slow, all he is saying is that the Bible speaks of things that are not human. Alien by definition means belonging to a foreign country or nation.

You are trying to claim that he is referring to little green people flying saucers from outter space.

That is the made up bs to try to divert people from what actual aliens are.

I don't know if you believe in the Bible or not, but if you do then you have to accept that aliens exist.

What we have "learned" is often not the truth from the past, but rather a tapestry of plausible alternatives TO truth in support of an anti-Biblical account. Just sayin'.

The Romans understood that we were part of a solar system with other planets. The fact that we were in the center doesn't change much for this discussion.

And Romans, clearly, had concepts of gods. I'd say the more pertinent question is why we would think Romans would act in ways other than you did in this thread (trying to converge aliens with religious concepts)?

Not really. I mean of God can create me and everything I see, who am I to say aliens would be out of his reach?

Heck, I can’t fully grasp 1/100 of his power most of the time.

The challenge of the Bible and Christianity is not “How do we reconcile aliens in outer space?” The challenge given to us in the Bible is “How do we live with each other here on Earth?”

Never forget that we as humans will never leave this planet. There is nowhere to go. We must evolve ourselves to a meaningful life on Earth, with each other. That is our challenge.

I don't even know where you're going with this.

Again... our understanding of the universe, while small, is greater than that of the Romans.

I’m already an atheist but think the discovery of life on other planets (especially another civilization) would be further evidence against the Christian religion, which is pretty silly.

The Bible speaks of the nephalim here on earth.

Genesis 6:4 (KJV): "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.".

"Sons of God" "Daughters of men

Some would argue that this passage is referring to holy men refraining from sin getting with wordly women, but then giants are referenced in many other places in the bible so why cant it also be true here?

One can hold more than a singular thought.

I'd proffer that the challenge given to us is to repent and believe.
