Again... our understanding of the universe, while small, is greater than that of the Romans.

And you've yet to explain how that delta would change anything in an alien (not angel) revel scenario.

A book like the Bible, which is supposed to contain the comprehensive history of the universe, leaving out such a major detail would not be good for its veracity.

It basically creates a scenario where any fantastical claim can be added and explained away by saying it was left out, just like aliens.

30 years ago the religious folks would have told you that there is no way aliens exist because it doesn’t say it in the bible.
Now that it is a realistic possibility, God created them too. Yada Yada.

Was the Axolotl mentioned in the Bible or is their existence in question as well?
The toughest part of Christianity is man selling it out.

In the past you had to pay money to be absolved from sin. Now its okay to be gay.

Christianity has bridged from following the word of God to following whatever man made interpretation that has the power. Its sad.

Anyway, there's probably a better chance aliens exist than some of these priest, popes, deacons, and bishops getting into heaven.

Wrong. Free will is Biblical. No one can prove otherwise. Christians who follow altered teachings of the original teachings of Jesus Christ try to state free will is not real also follow a belief that contradicts itself.

Jeez... I'm done looping with you. You win. We are just the same as the ancient Romans, with no greater understanding of this universe and our gods live on a mountain.

Your presumptive theoretical ramifications are correct.

These ongoing "Aliens must be!" claims and, "Martians, and life other planets!" narratives are the entire reason for this current delusion and deception since Day One ( facilitated by by RCC's attempt at tossing a monkey-wrench into the Protestant Reformation and Genesis truth found IN the Bible.)

By the mid 1500s It was the RCC that really pushed hard for rolling out heretical revisionist concepts of a Heliocentric world and "infinite" universe (which totally discredits and goes against Genesis account of Creation.

If alien life visited earth and told us they’ve never heard of any of our earthly religions that would be a major blow

This may or may not be true, but it doesn’t nail the coffin shut on the existence of God. People will still seek ways to connect to God. Perhaps even people on some remote rock in galaxy XC2275.

The Bible speaks of the nephalim here on earth.

Genesis 6:4 (KJV): "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.".

Yes indeed, sir.

quote:

Some would argue that this passage is referring to holy men refraining from sin getting with wordly women, but then giants are referenced in many other places in the bible so why cant it also be true here?

Haven't heard that theory to be honest. It sounds antithetical to the historical universal interpretation by Christian scholars.

The only context I've see has been the clear explanation that Nephilim are the illicit off-spring of Fallen Angels mating human women; They became corrupted DNA, those Giants or "Mighty men which were of old, men of renown."

It depends on how you define "atheists", which gets trickier with Asian religions/philosophies (admittedly, they don't make it easy)

The existence of aliens reaffirm my faith in a way of I don’t put limits on what God can do. When you see things with intelligent design like a watch it makes me believe that there had to be something more intelligent that created it . If God is big enough to to create one earth, who’s to say that he hasn’t created multiple. It does open up a lot more questions about the theology, but as a Christian, who has done psychedelics, I know there’s more to this world than the eye can see.
