You must not be very bright.
Do you have no concept of how an employee accrues raises through 25 years or how working overtime after your regular day and assignment had ended and compensated at a higher hourly rate works?
Fess up, when did he write you a traffic ticket?

Guess taking entry level calls makes it OK to beat up on a 16 yr old while his boys are on top of him holding him down. If the world needs more people like him we are screwed.

Is this where we defund the police?

Sounds like you are on the government teat, too.

Why is this always a gotcha?
Everyone on the OT makes more than this and many six-figure earners are cops, especially if overtime is included.
For example, how egregious is it really for senior IT admins and managers to make six figures?

You have assistant librarians making more than judges.....damn
The two assistant librarians have each been there for a long time. I think one is 30+ years (or maybe both), and have both been in those roles for over a solid decade. The way the EBR library system is structured they are in the two highest unclassified positions in the system and report directly to the Library Director. I also think it makes out at $106,807, so if they want more money they would need to leave the system or be hired as Director.
*EDIT* 36 years and 24 years as of 2020.
The Library Director came from outside Louisiana and started in 2013. I think he made less than the two Assistant Librarians for the first 2-3 years.

WTF!! How does this POS still have a job, much less the 6th highest paid employee in the city. I can only imagine how many times he has done this and it has been swept under the rug by BRPD

A thief is more moral than a politician; when a thief steals your money, he doesn't demand you thank him.

An awful lot of overpaid worthless employees on that list. Murphy Paul and Broome being the front runners
People are going to continue to move to others towns or build new ones until the vermin take those over as well. Never ending cycle.

I tried to see other cities in other states. I tried New York first and couldn't find a list with the names and salary, but I didn't dig too far.
Then I tried Biloxi and with a quick glance on the results I couldn't find anything, but this caught my eye.
Harrison County Board of Supervisors make $46k annually! You got to be kidding me. I am assuming Board of Supervisors or the same as councilmen right? If so, they are going to 1 meeting a month and they represent their district, which means people call them about pot holes, if the garbage truck doesn't pass and other problems within their neighborhoods. I understand they can put up with a lot of BS from time to time, but $46k?
No wonder when people want something done that would be somewhat costly, there is never any money.
All of these government people are eatin...

Salaries of elected officials in Gulfport have not changed since 2009. The recommendation for city council positions would be for $36,000 (from $23,192). By comparison, Biloxi city council members currently receive $29,468 annually, and the Harrison County Board of Supervisors pay is $46,700 per year. The mayor’s salary would be raised to $117,000 (from $92,184). Comparatively, Biloxi’s Mayor receives $115,898 in annual compensation.
