Sorry to hear. Pepsid AC and Benadryl have been shown to help with symptoms for one reason or another.

My symptoms arent even that bad, ive had worse colds. I almost said its because Im vaxxed and boosted that im not very sick, you know just to frick with you.

Figure I'll enjoy not being allowed to go places for a few days and bask in my new natural immunity.

You had your vax and I had my previous infection. Worked out good for both of us it seems. Seriously though the Benadryl option looks good if anything so you can sleep it off

We’ve seen far more reinfections with Omicron than with other variants, which isn’t necessarily indicative of anything given Omicron’s mutations and the wide variation you will see across a population with regards to antibody response. I’ll do some reading later on adaptive immune response and immunosuppressant medications as well as passive immunity measures.

We have also seen far more infections period with Omicron (13.5k/day peak Omicron vs 6k/day peak with Delta). Statistically the reinfections were probably relatively similar. Just looking at LDH’s site the new infections far far exceed the reinfections and I’m sure also that breakthrough infections far exceed reinfections (you have to do a little math to see it bc LDH does NOT prominently display it in the dashboard).

The data I would LOVE TO SEE is the amount of Reinfections that result in hospitalizations. If that number is extremely small than it’s time to leave NI people alone for good.

To think we as a society have been brainwashed to think that a slight fever and congestion requires getting tested is the sad part.

I'd argue that they weren't just by virtue of the fact that Delta infected many people for the first time. It will take a half-decade of data in this case to see what is going on.

Its on par with the dumbasses saying “pandemic of the unvaccinated”

I know a lot of people who got Omicron, unlike Delta.

Everyone I know who got Omicron is vaccinated. Many of who also gave it to other vaccinated people.

Anecdotal, sure. But its enough to know “pandemic of the unvaxed” is one of the biggest loads of horse shite I’ve heard in a while.

Felt like the flu when I had it. My sinuses felt like they were on fire and I couldn't smell for a couple of weeks.

Don’t forget that Omicron infected almost everyone who was vaccinated only or no immunity at all. The breakthroughs for Omicron were thru the roof.

And Premier Toya will keep the mask mandate in place until AT LEAST after Mardi Gras at a minimum. And the sheeple will comply.

We definitely saw cases where people were infected with the original variant or Delta being reinfected.

Everyone got omicron. What I’m interested in is the are the # of NI folks that needed to be hospitalized. I think that could tell us a lot. Data is already showing that NI already performed better than vaccine for delta.

And anecdotally 99% of the patients on our acute Covid unit(the one with negative pressure rooms, and patients on heated high flow O2 and Bipap) are…unvaccinated.

In your experience is there an explanation as to why 50% of the deaths are in the vaccinated currently?

I suspect most are dying WITH COVID and not FROM COVID. Are they just incidentally testing positive before dying of something else? The extremely elderly are almost all vaccinated
