Explain her quarantine situation. If she is quarantining with the 2 positive roommates, then it is defeating the whole point.

Takes about six days on average from exposure to symptom onset

All these precautions are to protect grandma or sick parent or some other vulnerable perso. That being said, Shouldn’t we have them be part of the decision. If my grandmother was still alive and she knew the situation and she said that she wanted to see me then I would be there in a heartbeat.

Very good point there. If she was with positive roommates today...that resets her quarantine clock.
The timeframe is from the LAST date of exposure to the person that is positive.

I caught it from living with my 22 yr. old son who came down with it 3 days before I did. Thankfully we both had fairly mild symptoms with no respiratory distress. We both started with a headache, aches and pains and a low fever. It's day 11 for me and I feel pretty good now. Considering we don't really understand why it hits some people so hard, you have to do what you think is best, but there is a lag time on showing symptoms.

If the wife didn’t have a heart condition, I’d say risk it. But not with the heart condition. One of my cousin-in-laws has a heart condition and got the rona back in May and it damned near killed him. He was in the hospital for a month with one problem after another. He still hasn’t fully recovered.

So you don't want to use the CDC....that has been, politics aside, the experts on this.
I don't fault anyone for not listening to the CDC....they've flipped flopped more than Joe Biden on issues.
If they were consistent I'd be with them 100%.

If CHF, afib, or she has any significant comorbidities (obesity/diabetes), would stay away.
If it’s a benign thing like Mitral Valve Prolapse or something, I wouldn’t be as concerned

I tested positive five days after contact. Two guys I eat lunch with from work tested positive about three days after I did, and one tested negative twice before testing positive. He had a temp and felt sick, so he kept going back. I never ran a temp once. I felt a little off like I was getting the chills. Would take some ibuprofen and felt great after. I had the chills maybe three days. Every time I had the flue in the past, I had felt a lot worse then this. I never had a loss of taste or appetite, or had any cough or trouble breathing. My point being, If she is like me, she may not realize she has it. If she does come home take extra precautions.

Have her come home and be smart about extreme contact with your wife....you'll be fine.

If she doesn't have symptoms in 3-5 days after being around roommates. She will not get it.
If you would get it,10 days after a positive test. You are no longer contagious.

I'm a mom .. if it was me, I'd still want her home ... none of us are promised tomorrow. Simple take on it that I'm sure others will disagree with.

This is a weird way of bragging that you and wife had sex once

With the heart condition I would have her stay away. Could take up to 14 days to be positive or show signs. Where I teach at 2 coaches came down with it. 1 other was out in quarantine for 14 days. Day 12 of his quarantine he started to feel bad and tested positive. So now out another 10 days. None showed serious symptoms but I wouldn’t risk it with your wife’s heart condition.

Let her come home. China flu is not that contagious, nor serious. If it were, then how does 1 member of a household test positive while no one else that lives there gets it?

Just not true. As just mentioned fellow coach on quarantine took 12 days for symptoms. He was almost done with his quarantine.

Wrong. Takes up to 5-6 days to show signs. It's day 5 for our daughter, no signs yet. She will get tested tomorrow.
