was around 3 people who tested positive on Monday and tested negative on Tuesday. Went through entire week feeling fine until I woke up Friday. Went to clinic and tested positive. It's a crap shoot.
Isn’t that, largely, how you’d expect it to work though?

Yup. She’ll be home for winter break pretty darn quick from here.

Maybe she can quarantine and then come home for a long weekend/late Thanksgiving?

So you don't want to use the CDC....that has been, politics aside, the experts on this.

Covid is some crazy stuff.
FIL got it 3 weeks ago and was just about over it and his face started swelling up. We though he was having an allergic reaction to something, but the hospital says it was related to Covid.

If she doesn’t have symptoms not letting her come home for thanksgiving is stupid. It’s insane how we are letting this virus control our lives

So people have been wearing mask all the time? I know I have been to a few gatherings, events.. whatever you want to call them were there were a good people of people and including myself.. Didn't even think about wearing a mask. Not on purpose. And when you see people you know and you talk to each other.. Its just natural to get in normal distance
So I am sure there are a lot of events going on where no mask are being worn, etc so just because we are being told to wear one doesn't mean people are actually doing it. So to say "we've been wearing mask for 4 months and the numbers are higher" isn't accurate.

My wife and I disagree whether she should come home. Wife, no pics, has a heart condition which leads to my decision to have my daughter quarantine at school for 10 days, while my wife wants her home for Thanksgiving.
Tell her you will see her during Xmas break
Don't put your wife at risk(10 days isn't squat), because you want all warm and fuzzy feelings during turkey day with daughter. Especially those with conditions.
Say Daughter comes home, has it, but never showed symptoms, wife catches it, and gets extremely sick, was it really worth it, to have thanksgiving dinner to have your wifes life at risk??????
You had 20 thanksgivings with her? This one needs to pass. Seriously, i'm not an anti/pro mask, rona person, but you never put people you love at risk, to have a dinner, you could have weeks later.

The CDC hasn’t been wrong as much as they’ve been trying to figure out what this virus is and figure it out. It’s a new virus that we’re learning about daily, so yea, there’s going to be mistakes made because we still don’t know a hell of a lot about it. They’re still smarter than 99.9% of the OT conspiracy freaks.

I think this is the biggest concern. They still don't know exactly what it is and why are people experiencing different symptoms.
My mom had it. For about two weeks she was really sick. She is an active person and it kept her in bed for 2 weeks. She would get out because she wanted to do things, but would go back to bed before even leaving her room.
Once she got over feeling really sick she is still experiencing fatigue and she caught it in July. It is unpredictable.

It’s an opportunistic virus. It attacks weaknesses in the body. Overweight, high BP , diabetes, genetic heart issues—-it attacks the cardio vascular system. IBS—you shut water for a week or more. Previous injury—I guarantee it will hurt like a SOB. The symptoms are moving targets and are unique to the individual.

I tested positive today. So far symptoms are mild. Fatigue is the biggest thing for me. I'm just drained.

This. If it was my daughter she’d be at home. Nobody is promised tomorrow.
