In that case, yes they could

As a Marine out of high school and current teacher of high school students, I only hope that other nations are also dealing with the softest group of individuals that I have ever been around.

Is this another thread where we bash millennials? How exciting.

why would they? we have advances in technology for a reason. I'm sure my Paw Paw would have rather sat in Tampa Bay and drove a drone dropping bombs over Germany rather than go over there and risk his life.

They could, but they wouldn't

Yes but wouldn’t trust the baby boomer generation of generals to lead them.

Generation Z would though

I say yes because today's Jap and Kraut high school generations are even more beta than ours.

I asked my Grandma that exact question about 10 years ago.
Without hesitation she said no. That we're to self centered and impatient to sacrifice what they had to sacrifice for the war cause.

Person from former generation doesn't think current generation is a good.

I mean, at least there's a very clear enemy and motive with WWII. I'd say possibly, but we wouldn't be near the force what they were. You got to remember that the people who fought in WWII were raised by people who fought in WWI, who had to come out as the most cynical generation ever (at least in Europe). Our generation is surprisingly active and being fed the right propaganda might have done it.
Now WWI, I'm confident almost no one born after 1940 would have taken that shite. If I and my friends were there, I feel very confident we'd stage a mutiny and kill our commanding officers. There was no real purpose to WWI, and it was almost guaranteed that if your commanding officer gave you an order that you weren't coming back as a whole person. No way in hell would the Boomers, Gen X, or Millennials have done it.

So I guess every 18-25 year old serving and deployed overseas is just a self centered impatient pansy.

Take their cell phones away and they’ll go through Europe and Asia like crap through a goose just to get them back.

Same old shite once every generation becomes old and useless. They just bash the ones below them
Usually it’s the one furthest away in age because they’re the most different.

As another example, I could ask the same exact question, but change it around to say "could teenagers in the mid-1800s fight the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan today". The answer is probably no.
Maybe you should read more about the history of those two regions.
