This thread will be filled with plenty of people who will say HELL YEA frick THIS WORLD etc etc... but these are poeple who have friends over for games, poker, play rounds of golf with buddies and shoot the shite with strangers on vacation. VERY few people could actually do this and maintain true sanity. We're social creatures.

How do you know he even has children or even a wife? I mean if you have no wife or children and you aren’t really close to any of your relatives then I can see it being easier to do, especially if you are an introvert type of person that doesn’t like crowds of any kind or may have bad social anxiety.

Many religious and spiritual people have done just this.
Some secular people have as well, but people cline to one to two cases of criminal who try to evade the consequences of their crimes by self isolation and you all say nah, one crazy people do that.
I think people have very shallow minds, and usually cannot envision a life outside of their tiny frame of reference.
