Jesus you are fricking stupid. Creatine is the most studied supplement in history and not one study in thirty years backs your claim.

AAS’s indirectly affect the liver by putting a strain on your kidneys from all the metabolic byproducts of increasing your muscle mass quickly.

I don't know what garbage you've read on your bodybuilding sites, but creatine is a basic, natural metabolite of the kidney. The kidneys must break it down into creatinine. When you artificially take excess creatine you are adding strain to the kidneys. It is almost axiomatic that abuse is bad for the kidneys. And every study as well as every legitimate medical article even without conclusive evidence will express this basic concern

There have not been a ton of studies as you describe, there's a 30-year chronic study, I think a recent one in 2018 and a few acute ones from the 90s but all kept under strict "safe" doses

I know I see a surprising number of gym rat patients in their late 30s who have renal problems and swore they only took creatine and other safe supps

Pretty insensitive to bring up skipping at a time like this. FWIW, leg day should remain unaffected. Getting in a full legs day is out of the question.

Not replying specifically to you prpl,
But the super high protein intake is more likely the culprit. I know a guy who was in to bodybuilding and needed, and got, kidney transplant. Didn’t lose his leg though.

I personally have a friend that went into renal failure specifically from taking huge doses of creatine. That's exactly what the doc told him caused it. So you're right and the poster above is full of shite.

Wrong
steroid abuse along with HGH and Insulin

Medical literature has proven steroids to be effective in therapeutic dosages

Creatine is fine as long as you drink enough water

That myth was busted 20 years ago

Huge doses

You only need 2.5-5 grams a day

The old 20 grams of creatine loading is garbage and outdated practice

It is natural but mainly produced in the liver.

Wrong, It increases levels of creatinine in the body, which are a marker of poor kidney function. However, the increase in creatinine isn't due to kidney damage, but simply more creatinine being produced.

Creatine supplementation usually increases serum creatinine levels during the loading phase (but usually not during maintenance), since creatinine is the breakdown product of creatine. This is not indicative of kidney damage.

Again you don't know what you are talking about. Here is a link to 14 studies just on the effects on the kidneys.

LINK

And you mean guys aren't admitting they took an illegal substance that could effect the cost of future medical care....shocking.

Again you are suing emotion and non scientific facts to get your point across. The facts say you are wrong and that's ok, we all should be learning new things every day.
