I haven't dated since getting married in 1973 but if the Mrs doesn't straighten up I may be dating again in 2021.

Get a part time job in the kitchen at a restaurant and slay servants. It is the only way these days.

I don't like the idea of the whole dating app thing. It seems like a job interview approach to dating and very impersonal. I've never been on one though so perhaps it's just a somewhat foreign concept to me.

Early 30s? If so you can still find someone in their mid to late 20s that doesn't have any baggage. On the other hand, you can't limit yourself to women with no baggage. You could find someone you really like who has baggage.
Baggage is better than drama. Do you want someone who always has drama in their life?
Don't buy into the idea that church is the best place to find a good woman. Maybe when you are in high school or college, but a lot of women heavily involved in church are looking to get married and start a family as soon as they graduate HS (some right after college) and if they are single and in their 30s and involved heavily in church, they probably have baggage (they did some shite that at some point in their life made them feel like they needed to find Jesus).
With Covid an all, a dating app might be your best bet. Get a good profile picture. One of you being "silly", lots of color.. It catches the eye.
When yall start communicating start off with asking questions about them. About their job, family, friends... or whatever they are passionate about. Don't try too hard, you will look desperate.
Get off the Internet and get a life!

Don't do a dating app if you are above the age of 24

Sooooo not true

I'm pulling for you, Nurse. I'm guessing you and I both meander around until that little serendipitous moment puts us back in the game. No hurry. Until then I have my dear friends, a great career , my kids and the dog.
Funny, when I think about dating I keep thinking about bad hygiene. Bad breath , dirt under the nails, messy kitchens, dirty bathrooms, etc.
I have so many deal-killers. The last time I dated if it moved I was IN. Now, not so much.

I'm 43 and have been with my wife for 17 years. Not interested in dating apps, just thinking more about what I would do hypothetically.

Big ups, no age discrimination for Mr. Clean.

Last time I dated I also had the clock ticking cause I wanted to be a mom.
Now...since that door is forever closed shut to me...the one positive is there is no rush. I can take my time. I’m not gonna be super picky cause I’m certainly no spring chicken and not perfect myself...but I won’t settle either and will be more aware of what things are most important to me.

I say I wouldn't, but I know damn well I'd get drunk and lonely one night and download the damn app to see what it's all about. But I'm so damn socially awkward I'll strike out after a few weeks and delete the app.

and as serious question as this can be - looking to meet someone in my 30s. how bat shite crazy are women these days?
Most of them speak about the sexist stuff but want to be treated in a patriarchal world still. It's confusing.
But basically if you are good looking or rich, it's okay to be a dick. If not, then you are a creep.

It's just for hookups. Chances of meeting a partner there are slim.
I did a bit of it when I was divorced but I found a hell of a lot of dishonestly on those sites.

Lol, I strike out multiple times a week. But you just keep going.
No different then when I was in college. Not every girl you go up to is going to give you her number or go out with you. No different here.
Just put frick Trump in your profile or a pic with you and a dog. Doesn't matter whose dog, borrow one if you have too.

shite, college was easy. Some nights you just had to say hi to a girl and she'd come back to your house. Or maybe it was just my irresistible charm and gorgeous looks.

Well, I'm very happily married. I'm just speaking in the hypothetical.
