I thought so too, insurance told me no, but doc wasn’t concerned at all, and had no issues. Dad had polyps and 2 out is 30 relatives had Ca.

Why do I keep hearing that colonoscopies create more harm than good?
Like there are alternative ways to determine if you have colon cancer.

You can shite in a bag and mail it in (Cologuard), but the results are pretty vague. My dad did it once, and his results said something like ‘30% chance your fine, 50% chance you have precancerous polyps, 20% chance you have cancer. We recommend a colonoscopy.’

That’s the purpose of Cologuard. That means it worked. I shite in the box and got a reading I was fine. Nothing shoved up my arse.

I really don’t know what all the fuss was about. It’s really not bad. Gotta make sure you prep a few days early with loose foods.

Colorectal cancer, per the American Cancer Society, starts in the colon or the rectum

Glad we got the ACS to clear that up

Just have read where the actual procedure can disrupt things down there and can wreak more havoc than can actually help.
You know the "doctors only recommend coloniscopies because they are money makers " crowd is posting this.

Occasionally one can get a punctured bowel if your Dr gets to amorous, but other than that they are harmless. Lay down, enjoy your meds, and embrace entry.
