-A nice hot shower after an hour long sweaty workout class
-Pillow talk after a good morning wood laying session
-Scott Hansen saying "7 hours of football starts.. now" every fall Sunday at 12:59PM.
-The sound of the Keurig making my coffee
-Any time the sun shines through the windows at my office

After trucking for 44 years, it's simple things that make me happy. Waking up in my own bed, having the toilet close by, fixing my own breakfast in the morning.

Shaggy Hound is a grooming/boarding/day care facility in Starkville. They post daily pics of the pups having a great day. Always makes me smile.

Having a few dishes in the sink and opening dishwasher to find it empty. So happy.

My 26 year old son calls me every evening for about an hour. It don't get no better in life than that.

Not day to day and didn't really make me happy but my daughter and her boyfriend wanted something sweet Saturday night and we have cleaned out the house as part of a new years resolution. It was sleeting and below freezing when they decided they wanted Dairy Queen. They ordered door dash and about 3 minutes later the doorbell rang and a young man was there with 2 milk shakes. Made me think "damn, what a time to be alive". 100 years ago many people may have heard of ice cream but never saw any. Now for an obscene amount of money a man will bring you a milk shake in the middle of an ice storm. And some folks dream of killing their neighbors because they don't agree on every issue....
