Murderers will find means to do what they want, see Europe with their gun laws. The people just switch to knives or trucks or homemade bombs.

No one ever wants to talk about the decline of religion and the destruction of the family unit.
When people don't feel like their life has meaning, and other people's lives have no meaning, shite like this happens.
The decline in religion teaches us we are nothing more than clumps of cells from dust and will return to dust when we die, nothing more than a blip on the radar of history.
And the decline of the family unit means more and more people grow up without the proper support and love, which makes the person feel unloved and worthless.
It's not just mass shootings, its suicides as well.

If we’re taking drastic measures to prevent more shootings, taking down social media would be a great place to start. There’s so much hate, disinformation, and vile nonsense spewed there, not to mention giving the shooters a platform to encourage copycats

That's a decent suggestion. Mandatory mental health tests for anyone that says or posts anything that can be construed as potentially violent would be helpful too

Who would get to determine what is on the test?
Who grades it?
Who administers it?
Who is exempt from it?
How would this not be manipulated by politicians and the government to punish political enemies?
Why should constitutional rights be subject to a test?
