I hope now that he's dead the trooper will pop in and give his side to the story. I remember it being very interesting. We haven't talked about it in years though.

So many great Christians in here. Prayers for his soul and his family.
Agreed. As Christians we are taught not to judge for it is not our place. If he repented his sins, he will go in front of the lord and be judged.

We're taught not to have premarital sex too, but since I ignored that one I'll go ahead and cheer that DTL is dead.

I thought if he repented he was good to go.

And why will be be judged only if he repented. I'd just not repent. Then it sounds like you get off without repercussions.

What was the overall feeling around the BR area. Was there a panic (especially among the female population)?

I drove a white Dodge Ram from 2001-2007. I got stared at EVERYWHERE I went, but I wasn't alone. There was a grassroots bumper sticker fad (either hand-written on white p/u tailgates or spelled out in individual letters) that said "Not Me" I saw more than a few of.
My parents lived in college town so I had to drive down Stanford all the time.
Pam's face on every telephone pole down Stanford from Perkins thru college town to Highland.

No girls jogging the lakes unless they were in packs.

Jim's Firearms averaged sales of 2 guns/day to hunters...during that time it was 20/ day almost all of them to women.

Yeah... And she picked him out of a lineup

That attack and Connie Warner's murder were around 92-93

Yeah, she always said it was him. And a lady named Collette that lives in St. Francisville kept telling the cops that she thought the killer was DTL.

Went to school with her daughter. All of that seems very surreal.

Good. But a part of me is sad, because he is taking the knowledge of what really happened with him to the grave. He never confessed to anything, yet he was guilty as hell and the evidence was there. I just wish authorities could have tortured the truth so families could get closure. There are still some bodies out there that have not been recovered.
