I was in elementary school at that time. I just remember the Desert Storm trading cards. Seems pretty tacky now.

Oh, I remember those.
My father was already stationed with the 24th Infantry Division at Fort Stewart so he was already in Saudi as the division deployed months prior. I think I was in the 6th grade at the time.

I was born in 95 but my dad had/has a bunch of these and let me open all of them as a youngin.. His best friend was shot down on the AC-130 gunship Spirit 03 while providing close air support to Marines in SA.

My unit flew out of North Fort on Dec. 30.
I remember the fighter jets taking off runway and shooting straight up with the afterburner blazing. Pretty awesome feeling that power as they took off.

Was with VMFA-314 but TAD to 3dMAW in Bahrain. Worked in the G-2 briefing/debriefing team for the pilots. I remember riding with some of the pilots on the bus back to their “barracks” the night before the first stiles. Could have heard a pin drop a pin drop.

North Polk? Peason Ridge? I imagine you also have been to Fullerton. I was stationed at Polk from 1984-1988. Back then it was 5th Mechanized big red diamond. I was in C co 1/61 rst Infantry 11-B. What was your MOS?

I remember when Time Magazine, before it became a worthless rag, had a pullout poster showing the different war time infrastructure between the allies and Iraq. Thought it was pretty cool.

I was at Ramstein AB Germany. Had been turning and buring C5s and 141s hauling equipment to the Middle East. 2 days before all the aircrafts stopped coming in. We knew something was about to go down. Armed Forces Radio went silent. We couldn't get any information of what was going on.

The ones I remember were by Topps:
I had a bit when I was a kid as I collected baseball cards as well.
