I feel like this is the right place to bring up the infamous Camry dent. Half the ones you'd see would be crumpled in on that oversized plastic rear bumper cover. Don't let Nissan get all the hate.

Nissan has been known in the car industry to finance ANYONE through their programs.

I think you can come to your own conclusions form there.

The funny thing is I drive a 2018 Nissan. I didn't know anything about the stereotypes about people who drive Nissan.

All I know is in early 2020, I went to the dealership. The car was low mileage, in my price range, and rode very smoothly, so I drove it home.

But yea from my experience there's definitely a lot of shitty Nissan owners. In Atlanta if you see someone driving dangerously, they are usually in either a Dodge Charger or a Nissan.

I think the Altima drivers caused most of the Camry dents.

It's a cultural thing. I see a lot of Canadians driving those cars. Probably with out insurance.

In 1993 my wife and I were looking to buy our first new car together. We test drove the Mazda 626, Nissan Altima, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Saturn SL2. The 626 was in a new model year and I believe the Altima was a new model. We actually liked the Altima a little more than the 626 but the dealer wouldn't budge in negotiations so we went with the 626.

We passed the 626 down to our oldest son when he graduated from high school. He finally traded it in on a used SUV last year. It was still running very well but had a lot of minor issues (driver door lock broken, sunroof leak, trunk wouldn't open (had to reach it through the back seat pull-down), fuel gauge didn't work). It averaged 30 mpg and was a 5-speed. Engine and transmission were still in good shape at 29 years old.
