Like...probably not. But they'll drive whatever mommy and daddy have at the house.

39 year old millennial or a 32 year old millennial? Big difference.

60s mustangs, Chevelle, and Camaros are actually pretty cheap to keep up.

It's a good looking vehicle. I really want it but I'll have to talk him down. 25 seems high but hard to find them with low miles

Cheap to maintain.

Expensive to buy in good condition.

I have always been in love with old muscle cars. I still love them, but I no longer want one(and sold the 70 Challenger I owned). Not after seeing this video.

ETA: from video

I have a friend that has a 2004 GT for sale. Has 35,000 actual mile on it and has been well cared for. He was in his 50s when he bought it new. It has the 4.6 in it with a 5 speed He's gotten too fat to get in and out of it.

I had intended to buy it, but I started having back problems and thought it wouldn't be a good idea. I've driven it, it's a fun car and very clean.

No.

We appreciate appropriate technology. Cars are overkill for most people and the unsafe, gas guzzling cars from the 70's are an abomination to society and the environment.

Modern cars are orders of magnitude safer and more efficient are also more powerful with better performance.

If some boomer wants a 69 camaro, he should get with the times and get a new camaro with 500HP, 25mpg, clean emissions crumple zones and air bags instead of some 50 year old death trap with 200HP and loud exhaust that would be obnoxious to a harley owner.

Technology is moving fast. The classic car thing is lame, this would be like douchebags driving model t's in the 70's except they didn't becuase 70's people even with their wide lapels, platforms, and disco, knew that 50 year old cars are shite. It's not a Stradivarius.

Boomers trying to relive the fantasies of their teenaged dreams is what makes Timothy Hutton rape 14 year olds and what makes America behind the rest of the world in progress.

F you Turk 182, Kevin Bacon was always better than you, you slimey assed douchebag.

restoring cars is kind of like owning a race team:

Don't believe what you see on car restoration shows. It takes longer than 30 minutes to restore one

there's a11 year old Scrambler project out back. between what I spent on parts and what I made last year selling those same parts, I'm only in the hole for about $10k

The Mustang coupes can be bought very reasonably. Fastbacks are high though.

Dude. I'm an X-er at 47 and Im just now getting to where having an extra 50K laying around isn't a big deal...Give the millennials some time to make money, go broke raising a family and then make more money, then have enough where they don't miss 30-50K in their accounts.

I'm guessing they chose an old X frame car for the offset test for a reason. Also, one can see the rust fly out of it in the slow mo.

Not saying old cars are as safe as new. They are not by any means. But that test is worst case.

Just don't crash and you'll be fine.

That's why I left out Mustongs in my quote. Mid 60's Stang's can be picked up pretty cheap compared to the later cars.

I see a lot of black guys that appear to be in the millennial age range in cars from back in my days.

Most aren't hot rods. They are mostly big cars lifted and on wagon wheels.

It isn't a style I'm in love with but anyone preserving older cars are alright with me.

We all in the same hobby.

It depends. I like old cars and if money and space wasn't an object i'd have one of both. But since space is at a premium in most urban areas, i only have room for 1 toy car in the garage. Throw high cost of living in there and i have to maximize what i can get out of a toy. Thats why i went with something faster with better technology. I put more of a premium on speed and all around fun to drive versus cruising around.
