Pretty close,
Not really, it's the area under the curves that matter, not peak numbers. Also, pretty much all current turbo GDI engines are having issues with reliability, no matter the brand. Timing chain wear, seal failures, oil sludge or excessive valve deposits. Older engines can sit for years, decades even, and still run with fresh fuel and basic tools. Let a GDI sit without purging the fuel system completely and it's an all day affair. Forget even that if any of the numerous sensors has gone out.

I have more important things to spend money on like fishing lures, camping gear, and boats and boat maintenance and knives and guns and healthcare
I do these things plus cars, motorcycles and a collection of antique outboards.

It's like you people go out of your way to be as dumb as possible.

My son is 15 with his learners permit. He’s driving his older sisters 17 Camry right now. He keeps sending me links to 60s Camaros for sell from TN to WY
Dunno if he qualifies for this survey

I want a 1992-1996 F250 7.3.
I don’t think this has any bearing on this thread but just wanted to throw it out there.

When I bought my Willys, it hadn't ran in years. The fuel line had been taken loose at the Carb for some reason and dirt dobbers had gotten inside and built a nest. It has a 2 barrel Holley carb, just like came on the old Fords. I went down to NAPA and bought a rebuild kit. Didn't even take the carb off the intake, just cleaned out the bowl good and put everything in it. Primed the Carb and it fired right up.
The brakes were stuck, so my brother had to drag it a little ways to free them up. I drove that thing 20 miles to my house right then.

If I screw it up behind the wheel of a car, I go crashing into a stopped car at 70 mph.
You need to drive one before making statements like this. It makes no sense to those of us with thousands of miles using standard transmission.
quote:I guess I'm missing something here too. I've used old tractors that wouldn't stop immediately with clutch in and standing on brakes. I know of none that could be downshifted while doing this.
If I don’t shift in time on my tractor, I might miss a spot and have to make an extra pass on the bush hog.
That being said you need to take a ride to north Ascension and put a few rounds on my John Deere.
You'll go home and throw rocks at your tractor. Stops on a dime while mower is still fully engaged.
